Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements related to production planning, quality management, and manufacturing processes. Analyze business processes and recommend SAP PPQM solutions to optimize production efficiency and product quality.

  2. System Configuration: Configure SAP PPQM modules according to business requirements, including master data settings, production planning strategies, quality inspection processes, and quality notifications.

  3. Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP PPQM with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), PM (Plant Maintenance), and QM (Quality Management). Configure and maintain interfaces with external systems for production scheduling, materials procurement, and quality control.

  4. Production Planning: Design and implement production planning processes in SAP PPQM, including master production scheduling (MPS), material requirements planning (MRP), production order creation, capacity planning, and shop floor control. Configure production scheduling profiles and capacity utilization.

  5. Quality Management: Set up quality management processes in SAP PPQM, including inspection planning, quality inspections, defect recording, and quality notifications. Define inspection characteristics, inspection methods, and inspection plans.

  6. Shop Floor Execution: Configure shop floor execution processes in SAP PPQM, including production order confirmation, goods receipt, goods issue, and labor reporting. Implement barcode scanning, RFID, and other shop floor data collection methods.

  7. Batch Management: Configure batch management processes in SAP PPQM for products that require batch traceability and tracking. Define batch characteristics, batch determination strategies, and batch status management.

  8. Quality Control: Implement statistical process control (SPC) and quality control charts in SAP PPQM to monitor production processes and product quality. Analyze quality data and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed.

  9. Reporting and Analytics: Develop reports and dashboards in SAP PPQM using standard SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Query, SAP BW) or custom development (e.g., ABAP reports, SAP Analytics Cloud). Provide insights and analysis on production and quality KPIs.

  10. User Training and Support: Provide training to end-users on SAP PPQM functionality, processes, and best practices. Support end-users with day-to-day issues, troubleshooting, and system queries. Document user manuals and training materials.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in SAP PPQM is preferred.

  2. Experience: Minimum X years of experience in SAP PPQM implementation, configuration, and support. Experience with at least X full lifecycle SAP PPQM projects is desirable.

  3. SAP Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP PPQM modules, including production planning, quality management, shop floor control, and batch management. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori is a plus.

  4. Configuration Expertise: Proficient in SAP PPQM configuration, including production scheduling profiles, material master data, production orders, inspection plans, and quality notifications.

  5. Integration Knowledge: Understanding of SAP integration points between PPQM and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PM, QM) as well as external systems. Experience with SAP IDoc, RFC, and ALE technologies is beneficial.

  6. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into SAP PPQM solutions.

  7. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  8. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and coordinate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams.

  9. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
