Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Integration Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements and design end-to-end integration solutions using SAP PI/PO. Analyze existing systems and integration points to define integration architectures and patterns.
System Configuration: Configure SAP PI/PO components, including Integration Directory, Enterprise Services Repository, and Integration Engine. Define communication channels, adapters, mappings, and message routing rules to enable seamless data exchange between systems.
Interface Development: Develop and enhance integration interfaces using SAP PI/PO middleware, including asynchronous/synchronous interfaces, point-to-point and hub-and-spoke configurations, and file-based/XML-based integrations. Implement error handling and message monitoring mechanisms.
Adapter Configuration: Configure various adapters in SAP PI/PO, including File, JDBC, SOAP, REST, RFC, IDoc, and HTTP adapters. Set up adapter-specific communication parameters and security settings to ensure secure and reliable data transmission.
Mapping Development: Design and implement message mappings using SAP PI/PO graphical mapping tools or Java mapping techniques. Transform data formats and structures between different systems and applications according to integration requirements.
Integration Monitoring: Monitor integration processes and message flows in SAP PI/PO. Set up monitoring dashboards, alerts, and notifications to proactively identify and resolve integration issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
System Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan and execute SAP PI/PO system upgrades, enhancement pack installations, and patch updates. Ensure compliance with SAP support and maintenance requirements. Perform system migrations and Unicode conversions as necessary.
Performance Tuning: Optimize SAP PI/PO performance by fine-tuning system configurations, message processing settings, and adapter parameters. Analyze system performance metrics and implement optimization measures to improve integration throughput and response times.
Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures for SAP PI/PO solutions. Maintain accurate documentation of integration interfaces, mappings, and configurations.
User Training and Support: Provide training to end-users and technical support teams on SAP PI/PO functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Support end-users with integration-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: Minimum X years of experience in SAP PI/PO implementation, configuration, and support. Experience with at least X full lifecycle SAP PI/PO projects is desirable.
SAP Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP PI/PO components, including Integration Builder, Integration Directory, Enterprise Services Repository, and Integration Engine. Experience with SAP Process Orchestration (PO) is a plus.
Integration Expertise: Proficient in designing and implementing various integration scenarios using SAP PI/PO, including A2A (Application-to-Application), B2B (Business-to-Business), and hybrid integrations. Knowledge of EDI and B2B integration standards is beneficial.
Adapter Knowledge: Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting different adapters in SAP PI/PO, including File, JDBC, SOAP, REST, RFC, IDoc, and HTTP adapters.
Mapping Skills: Strong proficiency in developing message mappings using SAP PI/PO graphical mapping tools or Java mapping techniques. Experience with XSLT, XPath, and XML schema design is advantageous.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex integration requirements and propose effective solutions using SAP PI/PO.
Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and coordinate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
