Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their procurement and materials management requirements. Analyze business processes and recommend SAP MM solutions to optimize procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
System Configuration: Configure SAP MM modules according to business requirements, including master data settings, procurement processes, material valuation, pricing procedures, and inventory management settings.
Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules such as SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning), and FI (Finance). Configure and maintain interfaces with external systems for procurement, inventory, and warehouse management.
Procurement Processes: Design and implement procurement processes in SAP MM, including purchase requisition, purchase order, request for quotation (RFQ), vendor evaluation, and contract management. Configure automatic purchasing document creation and release strategies.
Inventory Management: Set up inventory management processes in SAP MM, including goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory. Implement inventory valuation methods and inventory aging analysis.
Materials Planning: Configure materials planning processes in SAP MM, including material requirements planning (MRP), consumption-based planning, and forecasting. Define planning parameters, reorder points, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies.
Vendor Management: Configure vendor master data and purchasing info records in SAP MM. Implement vendor evaluation and performance monitoring processes. Manage vendor contracts, agreements, and pricing conditions.
Reporting and Analytics: Develop reports and dashboards in SAP MM using standard SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Query, SAP BW) or custom development (e.g., ABAP reports, SAP Analytics Cloud). Provide insights and analysis on procurement and materials management KPIs.
User Training and Support: Provide training to end-users on SAP MM functionality, processes, and best practices. Support end-users with day-to-day issues, troubleshooting, and system queries. Document user manuals and training materials.
Change Management: Manage change requests and coordinate with stakeholders to assess the impact of proposed changes on SAP MM configurations and processes. Ensure proper documentation and approval of change requests.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in SAP MM is preferred.
Experience: Minimum X years of experience in SAP MM implementation, configuration, and support. Experience with at least X full lifecycle SAP MM projects is desirable.
SAP Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP MM modules, including procurement, inventory management, materials planning, and vendor management. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori is a plus.
Configuration Expertise: Proficient in SAP MM configuration, including material master data, purchasing documents, pricing procedures, inventory management settings, and logistics execution.
Integration Knowledge: Understanding of SAP integration points between MM and other SAP modules (e.g., SD, PP, FI) as well as external systems. Experience with SAP IDoc, RFC, and ALE technologies is beneficial.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into SAP MM solutions.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and coordinate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
