Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/BI, etc.) and associated components, including SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP BusinessObjects, and SAP Cloud Platform.

2. System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitor SAP systems for performance, availability, and security. Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal system performance and uptime. Implement performance tuning measures as needed.

3. System Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, enhancement pack installations, and patch updates. Ensure compliance with SAP support and maintenance requirements. Perform system migrations and Unicode conversions as necessary.

4. Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for SAP systems. Develop and execute backup and recovery procedures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.

5. Security Administration: Configure and manage SAP security roles, authorizations, and user accounts. Implement security best practices to protect SAP systems from unauthorized access and data breaches. Perform security audits and compliance checks.

6. Transport Management: Manage SAP transport landscape and change control processes. Coordinate the release of transports across development, quality assurance, and production environments. Troubleshoot transport-related issues.

7. System Landscape Design: Design and optimize SAP system landscapes, including development, quality assurance, and production environments. Define system architecture, hardware requirements, and network configurations to support SAP applications.

8. Interface and Integration: Configure and monitor interfaces between SAP systems and third-party applications or external systems. Ensure seamless integration and data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems.

9. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain accurate documentation of SAP system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide knowledge transfer and training to technical support teams and end-users as needed.

10. Project Support: Collaborate with project teams during SAP implementation projects, system migrations, and upgrades. Provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. SAP certifications in BASIS administration are highly desirable.

2. Experience: Minimum X years of experience in SAP BASIS administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA is preferred.

3. Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP BASIS administration tasks, such as system installation, client copy, system copy/refresh, user administration, printer configuration, and spool management. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager is a plus.

4. Database Administration: Experience with database administration tasks for SAP systems, particularly with SAP HANA, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies is required.

5. Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Unix/Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.

6. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., SAP LaMa, Ansible) for system administration and deployment automation.

7. Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in SAP environments.

8. Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

9. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and coordinate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams.
