Production Planning & Control Job Description

• Developed, implement and maintain production planning and control process to ensure efficient operations and out puts.
• Track production progress and analyse performance to identify area of improvement.
• Coordinate with other supporting department to ensure that the production plans are met.
• Monitor inventory level and coordinate purchase / store to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
• Analyse data to determine production requirement, optimise production process and identify potential cost saving.
• Create production reports for senior management regarding production performance.
• Plan and control activities to improve runtime while maintaining high quality, timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with materials department in material planning and analysis to reduce inventory level.
• Plan, schedule and monitor material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations.
• Track material shortages and provide immediate resolution.
• Assist purchasing unit in coordinating and planning supplier deliveries.
• Coordinate with the merchants for any changes in the delivery and alteration in the designs and inform production manager.
• Monitor inventory status and generate inventory reports to Production Manager.
• Assist Sales unit in coordinating and planning customer orders and deliveries.
• Identify delivery exception and provide alternative solutions.
• Generate reports on production shortages and sales impact to Factory Manager for analysis.
• Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems.
• Evaluate production control activities to ensure that final product meets customer specifications.
• Plan equipment, material and manpower requirements to meet production schedule.
